Are you looking to add some excitement to your English lessons? Whether you’ve been teaching for a while or are new to adult education, this teacher training is designed to inspire you! If you believe that using authentic materials can enhance learner engagement, join me to explore how TED Talks can transform your classroom.
In this highly interactive workshop, you’ll discover creative ways to integrate TED Talks for listening comprehension, vocabulary building, and discussion activities. With readily available transcripts, you can easily develop tailored reading and writing tasks.
Please note: Participants should feel comfortable using internet browsers to find and utilize TED Talks. The workshop is hosted on Zoom, and a camera and microphone are required for active participation.

Zielgruppe:
This training aims at teachers who are eager to enhance the effectiveness of their language classes.
They are focused on improving their learners' listening, reading, speaking, vocabulary, and grammar skills through engaging and authentic materials like TED Talks.

Leitung:
Silke Riegler, a lecturer of Business English and Intercultural Communication at the University of Applied Sciences in Landshut, integrates TED Talks as a core element in her teaching.
These resources have become an integral part of her curriculum, and she considers them indispensable to her classroom practice.

Technische Vorgaben - Seminar online auf Zoom:
Sie benötigen einen PC oder Notebook mit Mikrofon und Lautsprecher für die Tonübertragung. Diese können im PC eingebaut sein oder als externe Geräte angeschlossen werden. Kopfhörer sind empfehlenswert.
Tablets sind beim Einsatz von Web-Konferenzsystemen nur beschränkt geeignet, da nicht immer alle Funktionen nutzbar sind.
Das aktuelle Betriebssystem sowie eine stabile Internetverbindung - am besten LAN (mit Kabel) sind von Vorteil.
Eine 6Mbit/s Downloadrate ist meist ausreichend. Auf der sicheren Seite sind Sie mit einer 16 Mbit/s Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit.
Bitte stellen Sie vor der Veranstaltung sicher, dass Ihre WebCam (Videokamera) eingeschaltet und Ihr Mikrofon richtig konfiguriert sind.
